FRAGMENTS

Fragments by Samela Balazi

“Fragments” is an intimate series of works and writings of my personal life and silent
observations exploring different scenes and depicting pieces of individuality, recollections,
and the slowness of everyday life. The selective placement of certain writings, drawings
and paintings interact with intent, they explore that memories are subjective constructions
with elements that are emphasized while others left out, leaving a sense of
incompleteness that I as a human being have always felt.
In its core, “Fragments” from the very title are fragmented passages of my point of view, of
my thoughts and feelings, of the places that surround me, of the landscapes of my
memories and the inner desires and fears of a child that still reminisces.
